While I was reading the book "Die Broke" by Stephen M. Pollan and Mark Levine, I came across a paragraph with the title "Think of yourself as an Immigrant."

The title immediately captured my attention and began to read the paragraph. While there were many good points to why we should think like an immigrant, all I could focus was on me and who I am.

I asked myself that same question. "Why I have forgotten to think like an immigrant?"

How could I have forgotten to think like an immigrant? Feeling like an immigrant gives you the strength to push in this life. I began to remember the day I came here to this country not knowing a word of English and saying to myself, "I will learn English and become fluent at it. I would make it and become someone."

That was the immigrant in me talking to my deeper soul, the inner voice that faced fear to get to this country by walking here. The intense passion that only one that has suffered can feel.

I think sometimes we forget where we come from, at times we are all guilty to live a life that feels at ease for others. I always tell my husband I'm no one if I don't have the drive to keep pushing. I sometimes forget who I am and where I came from when I get a little sophisticated and think too highly of myself, (trust me we are all guilty of this) I let him bring me back to really.

So, don't forget who you are, don't forget what drives you every day to go for those big dreams, find your inner voice. Whatever obstacle you fear in your life, and in your business, face them like the warrior you are. Change your mindset so you can succeed at anything you are passionate about.
